David Miles: Owner

Owner David Miles started Stone & Garden by Design five years ago. His 25 years of experience includes ten years within the nursery facet of the business, followed by fifteen years of hands-on construction and field work. He is noted for his specialized expertise with paving and stone work. His keen eye for detail and natural diplomacy in managing jobs and business has awarded him growth and a name for himself in the green industry.

David's 25 years' experience in the green industry has brought him to where he is today. From his teenage years working at the local nursery to his professional years with hands-on landscape construction and property maintenance, he has installed some amazing landscapes and looks forward to working with you.

Dan Harney, Designer/Sales

Dan Harney, aka 'Stone Man Dan' is a Certified Landscape Designer with certifications from Rutgers Cook College and The English Gardening School. Dan is also a Certified Drystone Waller with the Drystone Walling Association of Great Britain.

With 20 years of experience in the Landscape Construction field, Dan prides himself not only in designing unique outdoor spaces, but knowing the tricks of the trade to execute projects large and small with efficiency and attention to detail.

Dan's philosophy is 'simplicity with a twist'. His out-of-the-box style has made him one of New Jersey's most unique Landscape Designers and Stone Artists, combining the wishes of his clients with a practical and artistic flare.
